Winetasting in the Amsterdamse Bos
Hurray! An ode to the juice of the gods, wine! If you don’t agree with us, explain why wine has it’s own god, Bacchus? This weekend and the next, 8,9,10, 15, 16 and 17th of June, Bacchus Winefestival will celebrate wine in all it’s colors and flavors down at the Amsterdamse Bos.
Are you a newbie to the world of wine? No need to be scared. Experienced sommeliers will guide you through the wonderful world of grapes and tannines. Try to challenge your tastebuds at several wine tastings, or, you know, just drink all 300 kinds of wines available just because you can.
We have probably all learnt this from unlucky experiences: you better not drink on an empty stomach. Bacchus has got you covered. Just like last year, due to overwhelming success, the MUNCHIES kitchen will be attending the festival. Yes, the VICE one. With a different chef everyday controlling the stoves you are in for a treat! Don’t want to get too fancy shmancy? No worries, just walk five steps and you will have access to the juiciest burger in town. The ‘Grill Helden'(Grill Heroes) will show you their magic tricks, Bo Nam* is available for your Vietnamese food-fix or you can go to ‘Killer fries’ for … killer fries.
All the laughter and ‘dinner with friends’-feels will be accompanied by nice tunes, all day and all night. Dutch comedian and winelover Horace Cohen, together with his pall Paul Veth, will talk you through the diverse program of entertainment. DJ Alamaison will spin his table, just like DJ Fluffer (yes, really) and DJ Wix. Jazzy sounds will come from 94(!) year old ‘Dick on Jazz’.
