What is Lock?

Lock is a luggage service company based in the heart of Amsterdam. We specialize in proving safe and secure luggage storage and transport. While we make sure your personal belongings are safe with us, you can go and enjoy Amsterdam to the fullest.

Can I book on the same day of arrival/departure?

Yes, booking need to be made at least 3 hours prior to collection time. If you don’t have enough time, you can always contact us to see if we can help you out.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes, you can cancel your booking up to 30 minutes before pick up time. Please contact us to cancel your booking.

How can I contact Lock?

You can contact us by phone, email, facebook and whatsapp or you can use our contact form.

Is there a maximum number of luggage items that can be made through the booking system?

No, there’s no maximum. We can transport as many luggage items as you like.

What time can I store/collect my luggage?

You can drop off/collect your luggage at any time during our opening hours (9 am till 10 pm).

Are my personal belongings covered?

Yes, each suitcase/bag is covered up to the value of € 500,-. 

Are you open during the weekend and holidays?

Yes, our service is available during weekend and holidays. Please note that we are closed on Christmas Day

How do I edit a booking?

It’s not possible to edit a booking yourself, please contact our customer service center.

What type of luggage can I store.

We can store almost anything. If you’re not sure if we can store your luggage items, please contact our customer service center.

I can’t make it on time and will be later than as shown in my reservation, what do I do?

This is not a problem. We will always make sure we keep space available for your luggage.

Can I book on the same day of arrival/departure?

Yes, booking need to be made at least 3 hours prior to collection time. If you don’t have enough time, you can always contact our customer service center to see if we can help you out.

Can I call the driver?

Unfortunately it’s not possible to call the driver due to safety concerns. The driver simple arrives to collect and deliver your luggage. If you have questions about your luggage or need to give out an extra instruction, you can always contact our customer service center.

Where do you collect my luggage?

If you’re staying at a hotel we will pick your luggage up from the front desk. If you’re staying at a B&B or a home address, we will come to the front door.

What time is my luggage collected?

If you’re staying at a hotel, we will collect your luggage between 9am and 2pm. If you’re staying at a B&B or home address we will collect your luggage on the collection time you filled in.

At what time can I collect my luggage at Lock Luggage Storage?

Luggage can be collected at Lock from 1pm.

My items were not collected, what should I do?

Please check your booking and if necessary contact our customer service center.

Where can I send/deliver my luggage?

At this moment we deliver luggage anywhere in and around Amsterdam. If you want to send your luggage to another city or you have a special request, please contact our customer service center so we can see if we can help you out.

What if I’m not available for a delivery?

If you want us to transport your luggage to your hotel we will store your luggage at the reception. If we need to transport your luggage to a B&B or home address and nobody can collect the delivery, please contact our customer service center to schedule a new appointment.

What if my items are not delivered yet?

Please check your booking and if necessary contact our customer service center.

Do you deliver during the weekend and holidays?

Yes, our service is available during weekend and holidays. Please note that we can’t collect or deliver luggage on Kingsday (april 27th).

What kind of items can I ship?

We accept all suitcases and traveling bags. Unfortunately it’s not possible to send loose items or fragile (plastic) bags.

Are there any items I cannot send?

Yes, please check our page with prohibited items.

Is my luggage insured?

Yes, our insurance covers damage up to € 500,- per luggage item.

When should I book my luggage transport?

You can book any time online or can contact our customer service center during 9am and 8pm. Bookings need to be made at least 3 hours prior to pick up time.

Are my personal belongings covered?

Yes, each suitcase/bag is covered up to the value of € 500,-. You can increase this up to € 1000,- for a small fee.

Do I need to print out my shipping label?

Yes, you can find your labels in our confirmation email. If it’s not possible for you to print the label, please write down the following information and attach it to your luggage; Full name, customer ID, date of collection, address and pick up time, drop off date, address and drop off time.

When should I book my luggage transport?

You can book any time online or can contact our customer service center during 9am and 8pm. Bookings need to be made at least 3 hours prior to pick up time.

Are my personal belongings covered?

Yes, each suitcase/bag is covered up to the value of € 500,-. You can increase this up to € 1000,- for a small fee.
